¡@
Resins Prices have hit the lowest the beginning of 2025.
Prices as per Rail Car Quantity:
¡@
PE Hit the all time low the First Quarter of 2025, April-May, 2025 Stay Flat, but it seems is heading for the Upward trend.
¡@
¡@
PP prices bottomed out in January, and prices moved up 5 cents per pound.
¡@
Polystyrene GPPS & HIPS prices remain strong due to the higher Benzene & Ethylene prices. Some suppliers prices increased. HIPS some suppliers have hit the 3 digits per pound in April. Due to the high Benzene Prices plus the Fast-Eastern Countries demand. Should PS on the slow upward/downward trend higher? Producers are on a close watch. In Mid-April to May Price jumped 2 cents per pound as expected.
¡@
PVC Prices Down & Up started January though March 2025 stable. Mid-April to May Price moved up 2 cents per pound.
¡@
PET 2025 has hit the bottom due to the drop of 5 cents per pound the late 4th quarter of 2024. However, demands are still strong to March. April PET price bounced a slightly upward trend. PET demands remains high, Producers/Suppliers are watching the crude oil prices.
¡@
Due to the current Petrochemical Prices:
¡@
ABS Prices are Flat in January 2025, Ups & Downs the first quarter, Suppliers are monitoring the Benzene supply & Crude Oil Prices directions. However prices are on the upward trend slightly due to the cost of styrene monomer and butadiene feedslock.
¡@
PC Prices are mostly stay flat the first quarter of 2025.
¡@
Nylon 6 Price increased by USD0.05 per pound and into March and April due to the feedstock cost increases.
¡@
Nylon 66, Some Suppliers had a Prices increased by USD0.12 per pound in the end of January and March into April seeking another USD0.10 per pound.
¡@
¡@
Supply Chain Logistics: Cost of Transportation Prices are high due to the higher energy cost. The higher energy cost expected to continue upward trend.
Global Logistics: Ocean Carriers are strongly effected by the Current Global Tariffs situations. Import Tariffs takes a major role in Global TEU movements in the past two months.
¡@
¡@
Comments: 2025 First quarter Crude Oil Prices Hike affected the Resin cost and highly affected Transportation cost.
¡@
Recycled Plastics/Engineered Polymers: Late 4th Quarter of 2024 and January of 2025 Resin prices has hit the bottom in most Resins. Recycled Commodity plastics prices also follow in N.A. & Global market. Some to most of the N.A. Recyclers are on the wait and see situations on Exports. Many exporters are not rushing to sell/ship their recycled scraps, due to the Low resin prices in the late 4th quarter of 2024 into March-April 2025. Repro pellets, regrinds remain stable for the N.A. domestic users. Prices increased should follow the Virgin resins as usual for processors and traders.
